Adventure Bar Story - Gilbert's Path Map

I hate breaking a promise. I also hate rushing things. But if I had to pick one between the two, I guess I'd rush a bit to keep a promise.

So, here is a map of Gilbert's Path. I don't think it's the best I could do. But I have many excuses:

- It's a Chinese New Year weekend
- I've been busy hanging out with friends and family.
- Worked on Saturday, and early shift this week.
- I'm sleepy.

I will definitely come back and fix this post in the near future. But for now, at least this map shows where the boss is and where to find the Misto plant.

A few things about Misto plant
- To harvest for the first time, you have to kill the boss first.
- It always spawns at the same spot.
- It is not always there. You just have to come back later if you don't see it there.

Bottom of the map is where the dragon nest is. It is not there when you first enter this area. As the story progresses, the dragon nest will unlock for you.

If you just want to head to the exit quickly, it's okay not to enter any of the caves.

Adventure Bar Story - Bar Rank

Ahh, it's been a while. I am still playing games but I haven't really found anything worth posting. I spent most of my spare time playing Dwarf Fortress. I am thinking of doing a series of posts about Dwarf Fortress when I start a new one.

Edward asked about Adventure Bar Story - where can I see my bar rank? I'm going to reply with a few pictures.

- Click on "Menu".

- The picture below shows a few things. On the top left corner, you can see a calender. That's where you can find your bar's ranking. The screen below is showing the ranking on Day 1 so that's just a very low rank bar.

- Highest Rank: Compare the screen below to the screen above, you can see the calendar shows a highest bar rank.

Adventure Bar Story - Western Desert Map

I got lost the first time I entered this map. Also I regretted not having any food with heat resistance. So I reloaded.  xD

The thing with this map is that if you don't feed all party members with heat resistance food, every step would bring their HP down a tiny bit. It's not going to kill them quickly but it is a little annoying.

Some areas on this map are locked until events happen. I should do a map for the ruin but I haven't had my Dwarf Fortress fix today. I will leave that to some other time.  /sorry

If I remember correctly, Lidia knows her way here. When the game progresses to a certain point, she'll say she can help you out. Nothing will happen at the entrance of this map when you bring her along however. It requires Lidia to be close enough to, say, the ruin entrance, to be able to trigger the event.

Also, one of the materials Elias needs for the item he wants to make can be found here. Again, I didn't write it down when I was playing but I think it's something about Desert Lizard.

The boss here is Almer Baron. It has strong resistance to Fire, Wind, and Earth elements, weak against Ice element.

New Toy - ASUS Matrix Radeon HD 7970 Platinum

It has been quite a few weeks since I last posted something. It's just that I got a new job and I haven't had enough time to enjoy gaming properly. I do like my new job though.  ^_^

Since I worked so hard in the past few weeks, I decided to reward myself a good video card. Here's some info about the card I bought - ASUS Matrix Radeon HD 7970 Platinum. I tested it on League of Legend, and Dwarf Fortress, both games ran really smoothly compared to my old-randomly-shut-my-PC-down-card.

It started to get really warm in Sydney these days. It's funny to say but the weather effects my gaming experience. Whenever I played League of Legend, my computer would crash whenever there was a group fight. Also it was sad that Dwarf Fortress would become really really slow. FPS was too low for me to enjoy the game. :*( I don't have this issue anymore now though. :D :D :D




I know the games I play don't require a video card like this, but hey, it makes me happy when I think about it. xD That's what matters right? :p

Adventure Bar Story - Equipment List

Aww, I suppose an equipment list would be good. When I was missing one or two items in the end, it was so difficult to find them without knowing their names.

Adventure Bar Story - Otts Cave Map

So I did it, there you go, a map for Otts Cave. Hopefully you can find your way out there.

Remember wherever you go, this applies to other dungeons too, make sure you walk out of the exit near the boss at least once. The first time I went to Otts Cave, I was being "smart" and decided to walk all the way back to the entrance so I could farm more ingredients. What I didn't know was that it was the key to unlock Silkreef by walking out of the exit in Otts Cave.

Adventure Bar Story - Shops

There are 6 shops in Cassel Kingdom:

• Casselburg shop
• Ostenlein shop
• Port City of Lar shop
• Desert City of Guid shop
• Amiel Villa shop
• Peddler's shop - comes to Casselburg every 5 days

I made a spreadsheet for all shops with all the available goods when I finished the game story. Some of the goods only appear after certain events happen. For example, Bait from Fred's shop in Casselburg. He would only start selling baits after you receive a fishing rod from a customer.

Since I finished Adventure Bar Story, I started to look around for another game to play. The game I want to play from Kairosoft is still not translated to English so I decided to take a break from mobile phone games.

I saw Dwarfs and Towns from Steam, so I tried their free to play or demo version. They all just reminded me how fun Dwarf Fortress is. I only spent a few minutes on Towns since the UI is just too clumsy for me. I do appreciate how they try to make Dwarf Fortress like games though. Anyway, after trying those two games, I thought I might as well take a look and see what's happening with Dwarf Fortress. Reading is just not enough. I started to play Dwarf Fortress soon after that.  xD

Warning : Learning curve is steep. However, once learnt, it's highly addictive.
